Start early at Prague Castle (Pražský Hrad), the sprawling complex that anchors the skyline, and make time inside for St. Vitus Cathedral and the Romanesque St. George's Basilica. History buffs can add the Lobkowicz Palace Museum, tucked inside the castle grounds, for its art and audio-guide narrated by the family's own descendant. Wind down through Malá Strana (Lesser Town), stopping at the baroque St. Nicholas Church, before crossing the Vltava on the statue-lined Charles Bridge (Karlův Most) as the light turns golden in the late afternoon. Finish the day wandering the cobbled lanes below the bridge on the Old Town side, past the Old Town Bridge Tower.
