By Train: Pécs has excellent rail connections from Budapest (2.5 hours), Szeged (1.5 hours), and other Hungarian cities. Direct international trains connect to Austria and Croatia.

Local Transport: Buses and trams efficiently connect city neighborhoods. Single journey costs ~200 HUF (~0.65 EUR). Day passes available for multiple trips.

Walking: The historic center is compact and easily explored on foot. Comfortable shoes recommended for cobblestone streets and Mecsek slopes.

Car Rental: Useful for day trips to wine regions and thermal spas. Hungarian driving is on the right side. Speed cameras are common.
