Tourist Passes in Sarajevo

Visitor Passes & Discount Cards

Note: Unlike many European cities, Sarajevo does not currently offer an official comprehensive tourist card. However, several options can provide savings:

Sarajevo Funicular & Museum Bundle

Some travel agencies offer combination tickets including Trebević cable car round trip plus entry to 2-3 museums (typically Tunnel Museum, National Museum, and one other). Saves approximately 20% versus separate purchases. Book through local tour operators or hotels. Availability varies seasonally.

War Sites Tour Package

Organized tours often bundle Tunnel Museum entry, transportation, and guided interpretation for 40-70 KM per person. Much better value than independent visit requiring taxi (30-40 KM each way) plus admission (20 KM adult ticket). Tours provide essential historical context. Recommended operators: Sarajevo Funky Tours, Toorico Tours, Meet Bosnia.

Group Discounts

Many attractions offer reduced rates for groups of 10+, students (with valid ISIC card), and seniors 65+. Student discounts typically 30-50% off. Always carry student ID or proof of age. Some museums free for children under 12.

Free Walking Tours

Tip-based walking tours depart daily from Sebilj Fountain at 10 AM and 2 PM. Excellent introduction to city history and orientation. Typically 2-2.5 hours covering Baščaršija, major landmarks, and basic history. Guides work for tips (10-20 KM suggested). Some companies: Neno's Tours, Sarajevo Free Walking Tour.

Cultural Institution Annual Pass

For longer stays, the National Museum offers annual membership (50 KM) providing unlimited entry plus discounts at museum shop and special events. Worthwhile if visiting multiple times or staying several weeks.
