Larnaca International Airport (LCA) is Cyprus's main airport, just 5km from the city center. Transport options:
• Intercity Buses: Route 425 connects airport to Finikoudes (€1.50, 15-20 min, every 15-30 min)
• Taxis: Fixed fare to city center €10-15 (10 minutes)
• Airport Shuttle Services: Available to major hotels
• Car Rental: All major companies operate at the airport (Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Stevens Car Rentals)
City Buses (ZINONAS): Efficient network covering all major areas
• From 3 August 2026, the operator’s fare notice lists urban single tickets at €2.70 cash or €2.00 by card.
• The current fare notice lists a 7-day city pass, but no €5 day pass; its all-city daily ticket is €20 (€10 discounted).
• Routes operate 6am-7pm (reduced on weekends)
• Route 425: Airport-City-Mackenzie Beach
• Route 429: To Salt Lake and Hala Sultan Tekke
• The current operator directs riders to its Pame app for journey planning and live bus information.
Intercity Buses:
• To Ayia Napa/Protaras: €3-5, multiple daily departures
• To Nicosia: €4, hourly service
• To Limassol: €5, regular service
• To Paphos: €7-10, 2-3 hours
Recommended for day trips and flexibility. Prices from €20-30/day. Drive on the LEFT side. International driving license required for non-EU visitors. Parking available but limited in Old Town.
Metered taxis widely available. Expect €8-15 for city journeys. iTaxi Cyprus app offers competitive rates. Not metered for airport runs – agree price beforehand.
Flat terrain makes Larnaca ideal for cycling. Bike rentals available at €10-15/day. Finikoudes to Mackenzie is pleasant 3km seaside walk. Old Town best explored on foot.
