Getting Around in Santa Barbara

Getting there: Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) has direct flights from major West Coast hubs; many visitors also fly into Los Angeles (LAX), about 2 hours south by car, or take Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner along the coast.

Getting around: Downtown, the waterfront, and the Funk Zone are very walkable. The free electric downtown-waterfront shuttle covers State Street and Cabrillo Boulevard. Rental cars or rideshares are recommended for wine country, Montecito, and outlying beaches.
