Annual Events: International Beatleweek (late August; 26 August - 1 September in 2026) fills the Cavern Club and venues around Mathew Street with Beatles bands from around the world. The Liverpool Biennial of contemporary art returns 5 June - 12 September 2027. Creamfields, the electronic music festival, takes place in Cheshire in late August.
Seasonal: Christmas markets and lights run in the city centre in late November and December, and New Year's Eve is celebrated on the waterfront.
