Compact but rewarding collections covering Ibiza's Phoenician-Punic archaeology and its 20th-century identity as a haven for artists and hippies.
Housed partly inside Dalt Vila's old arsenal, this archaeological museum displays Phoenician and Punic artifacts excavated from the nearby necropolis of Puig des Molins, one of the largest Phoenician-Punic burial sites in the world. Highlights include terracotta figurines, jewelry and burial goods spanning over 2,500 years.
Set inside the 16th-century Casa de la Cúria within Dalt Vila, this small museum showcases works by artists connected to Ibiza since the 1960s, when the island became a magnet for the international avant-garde. The building itself, with its whitewashed courtyards, is as interesting as the collection.
