The Waimea Town Celebration (February) is one of Kauai's biggest community events, with a rodeo, canoe races, and live music. Prince Kuhio Day (March 26) and King Kamehameha Day (June 11) are Hawaii state holidays marked with parades and cultural events island-wide. The Kauai Mokihana Festival (September) celebrates hula and Hawaiian music, and the year ends with island-wide Coconut Festival and holiday events in Kapaa and Lihue.
