Optimal Seasons for Naples
Best Overall: April-May and September-October offer ideal weather (20-25°C), fewer crowds, and lower prices.
Season Breakdown:
- Spring (April-May): Perfect weather, Easter celebrations, flowers blooming in parks. Peak comfortable season for walking and sightseeing.
- Summer (June-August): Hot and humid (28-35°C), very crowded, higher prices. Best for beach and island trips. Many locals leave in August. Intense heat makes walking tours challenging.
- Fall (September-October): Warm seas, harvest season, excellent food. September can still be warm; October is ideal with comfortable temperatures and cultural events.
- Winter (November-March): Mild (10-15°C), quiet, lowest prices. Some restaurants close. Rain possible. Christmas markets and nativity scenes on Via San Gregorio Armeno. Few tourists mean authentic experiences.
