Late May to June and September offer the best balance of warm sea temperatures, thinner crowds, and lower accommodation prices than the July-August peak. Summer brings the busiest beaches and the liveliest atmosphere in Kassandra's resort towns, but also the highest prices and traffic on the coastal roads. Winter is largely off-season, with many hotels, tavernas, and the Mount Athos cruise boats closed until spring.
