Kavourotrypes' granite boulders framing turquoise coves are Halkidiki's most photographed beach scene. The view of Simonopetra Monastery clinging to its cliff face, seen from an Athos boat cruise, is one of the region's most striking sights. Karydi Beach from the pine headland above it and the sunset over Ammouliani's harbor are both reliable golden-hour shots.
